2022 100 Year Old Vines Blewitt Springs Grenache Six Pack

REGION: Blewitt Springs, sourced from 102 year bush vines

OAK: 7 and 8 year old American Oak

WINEMAKING: Hand picked bush vine grenache was soft pressed and destemmed in mid March 2022, fermented on skins for 7 days and pumped over twice a day. The finished wine was transferred to old oak barrels purely with the intention of settling the wine rather than adding oak flavour.

TASTING NOTES: The quality of fruit and winemaking speaks volumes as to how this wine has turned out. The nose is abundant with red and blue fruits also seen on the palate, which is juicy, full bodied and underpinned by fine tannins. Further breathing reveals more layers of flavour and complexity after the initial tranche of bright fruits. A superb example of this most versatile of varietals and testament to McLaren Vale’s Grenache dominance.
