Manser Estate Vineyard
Stretching out over 16 acres, the Manser Estate vineyard rolls down the hill into a shallow valley creating a unique environment for our vines to grow. To add further variety to these fascinating microclimates, we plant four shiraz clones randomly throughout the vineyard, delivering a vast diversity in our fruit that enables winemaker Phil Christiansen to produce wines of unmatched complexity and interest.
We asked former owner Tim which clones are planted where, and he replied “I can’t bloody remember but it went into Eileen Hardy Shiraz most years… good enough?”
That’s fine by us! We’re excited to take this vineyard to new heights and look forward to harnessing its true potential.
Manser One Mad Moment Vineyards
Manser One Mad Moment draws fruit from two very different parts of McLaren Vale.
The McMurtrie Mile gives One Mad Moment its lovely chocolatey Shiraz backbone, and our vineyards in Blewitt Springs deliver old vine Grenache that showcase the wonderful fresh red fruits this variety is renowned for.
These stingy old vines date back as far as 100 years of age, we’re truly blessed to get this fruit.
