2021 Block 4 Six Pack
This six pack contains six bottles of Manser’s finest. Estate grown, this a fantastic way to experience our flagship red in one pack – cellar these beauties for 10-15 years or enjoy now with an hour in the decanter
VINTAGE: 2021
REGION: Adelaide Hills
OAK: 25% New French oak 75% seven and eight year old American Oak
WINEMAKING: Hand picked shiraz was picked from our Block 4 vineyard, crushed and destemmed in mid April 2021, fermented on skins for 10 days and pumped over twice a day. Most of the finished wine was transferred to old oak barrels purely with the intention of settling the wine rather than adding oak flavour and small parcel of this powerful fruit was put in brand new French oak barrels. After exhaustive barrel trial the finished wine is 25% brand new French oak and the balance those lovely old barrels we bought from Molly Dooker all those years ago
TASTING NOTES: This could be our best Block 4 yet. The nose is abundant with black and blue fruits also seen on the palate, which is full bodied and underpinned by fine tannins. Further breathing reveals more layers of flavour and complexity after the initial tranche of bright fruits. A superb example of care in the vineyard and judicious winemaking. Enjoy now with decanting or cellar for up to 20 years
